Catalog description

Graduate students complete a supervised work experience involving practical application of the knowledge and skills acquired in engineering courses. Internships, a minimum of 50 hours of work per credit hour awarded, are arranged by the student, an internship sponsor, and a supervising faculty member. The maximum degree credit for this course is three hours. The consent of the Program Director is required. Progress, supervisor's evaluation, and final reports (written and oral) are required. The internship placement should be consistent with the student's course of study and professional development.
