Catalog description
Survey of the visual elements: line, shape, value, texture and color and the organizing principles of design: rhythm, repetition, variety, balance, dominance, proportion/scale. Emphasizes fundamental concepts, composition, and technical skill in relation to specific topics and techniques. 2D Design is a required foundation course for art majors and minors as well as a prerequisite for advanced level courses.
