Provides factory technicians with a solid foundation in the essentials of smart manufacturing. Emphasizing real-world applications and case studies, explores how digital technologies such as automation, sensors and data analytics are transforming modern manufacturing processes. Participants gain a clear understanding of Industry 4.0 principles, the Internet of Things (IoT) and basic data-driven decision making in a manufacturing context. Uses case studies from diverse manufacturing sectors to illustrate key concepts, helping technicians relate theory to practice. Topics include the basics of connected machines, an introduction to digital twin technologies and practical approaches to improving factory efficiency. Technicians leave the course with a comprehensive overview of the tools and technologies driving smart manufacturing, prepared to engage with more advanced concepts and systems.
