Catalog description

Hands-on course where students learn how to turn a game prototype into a launch-ready brand backed by a clear, data-driven marketing plan. Students master fundamentals across the production phases, from pre-production through launch marketing to brand management, while building on the consumer insights (targeting and segmentation), data analytics and performance marketing (user acquisition and retention). Covers the core tenets and current trends of game marketing. Through weekly practice in copywriting, visual-asset creation, social content, trailer production and community-first strategies, students produce a brand book plus a comprehensive marketing plan and calendar for a project. Also prepares students for roles across the games marketing ecosystem, including work with content creators, esports and emerging technologies, so they can plan, communicate and measure with confidence.
