Catalog description

Additive Manufacturing (AM) is driving a paradigm shift in design and manufacturing. Provides hands-on exposure across a wide range of commercial 3D printers. Topics include fundamentals of polymer, metal and composite AM processes and process capabilities such as rate and resolution. Introduces material properties and their dependence on raw material properties and process parameters; existing and new applications of AM; and a perspective on current and future technical challenges in AM. Provides a foundation for a more in-depth study of design for AM, and AM materials and structures.
