Catalog description

Advances students' ability to apply ethical decision-making frameworks and critically analyze complex dilemmas in professional media work. Examines the core values and loyalties of the field. Explores topics including privacy, plagiarism, fabrication, verification, transparency, image manipulation and ethical challenges posed by emerging technologies. Also evaluates the role of leaders in shaping ethical practices, navigating conflicts between principles and business decisions, and ensuring that media organizations responsibly serve their audiences.
