Examines the theory and practice of literary translation with two-fold aims: first, to analyze the ways in which translation has been theorized and practiced in a variety of historical contexts; second, to provide a space in which to discuss, experiment with, and polish original translations of Japanese-language texts in a wide range of written and visual forms.
