Catalog description

Students conduct historical, philosophical and sociological analyses of some of the fundamentals of Zen, mainly those of Japanese tradition. Examines the influence of Zen thoughts on value, culture and society in both pre-modern and modern Japan. Classes consist of lectures, documentary films and discussion sessions. Taught in English.
