Catalog description

Fundamental course in information systems security that focuses on various security concepts. Students learn about intrusion systems and techniques to identify and help limit incursions. Familiarizes students with the different types of firewalls and their applications in the network. Details software security, hacking techniques and operating systems security. Moreover, emphasizes the initial security and privacy issues of some new technologies such as cloud computing, fog computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain. Finally, presents the fundamentals of AWS security testing.
