Catalog description

Focuses on the physical layer, data-link layer and network layer of the OSI model. Introduces data communications, including signals and transmission impairments. Also introduces network topologies and local-area networks with particular attention on the network switch. Network layer protocols (IPv4 and IPv6) are included with focus on IPv6. Subnetting (classful and classless) are explored in more detail and Variable Length Subnet Mask) VLSM is introduced.
