Catalog description
Examines models of Indigenous self-determined education across K-12 and higher education contexts as expressions of Indigenous sovereignty. Using comparative case studies of tribally controlled schools, Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) and other Indigenous-led education initiatives, students explore how these models are designed, governed and enacted, and their implications for Indigenous learners, communities and accountability to community priorities and values.
