Catalog description

Provides an opportunity for self-directed, structured practice in health education and health promotion with faculty support and supervision. Students develop and/or implement a health education and health promotion project of their own design, based on self-identified interests and long-term career plans. Applies specific competencies of health education specialists, preparing students to enter the workforce as confident and practiced health professionals. Requires permission to enroll from the course instructor, based on approval of the applied project proposal prepared during the preinternship course.
