Provides students with the knowledge to utilize risk assessments, monitoring and auditing systems to ensure health care operations conform to established standards or comply with federal, state or local rules and regulations. Uses reading assignments, discussion, video and real-life examples to understand monitoring and auditing requirements, as well as the steps of a successful monitoring and auditing program. Students demonstrate the ability to create risk assessments to predict, analyze and mitigate practices that may lead to industry noncompliance.
