The craft has been practiced for many centuries throughout Europe, on Savile Row in London, in Milan and in Paris, Haute Couture. Teaches the difference between ready-to-wear and made-to-measure tailoring and authentic bespoke tailoring: Studies the origins of bespoke tailoring and its unique craft. Students learn the necessary skills to design, cut and construct bespoke-tailored garments. Introduces the history, tools, cloth/trimmings, design details, the key hand stitches and pockets that need to be mastered and trains the hand and fingers through repetition of methods in practice.
