Covers analytical methods of forensic chemistry, including tests commonly performed on seized drugs, ignitable liquids, explosives and other trace evidence. Conducts laboratory experiments in these areas using instrumentation found in forensic laboratories. Students become familiar with sample preparation, instrument operation and instrument software used to analyze forensic chemistry samples.
