The first of a three-course sequence, provides an orientation to the larger field of film and media professions through professional development presentations from professors and experts in the field, each introducing a different aspect or mode of filmmaking. Engages students in interactive discussions while building the foundations of their creative careers, ultimately choosing two 'focus areas' for upper-division study.
