Catalog description
Comprehensive foundational course designed to teach students how to safely and effectively instruct a wide variety of cardiorespiratory and flexibility exercises one-on-one, and to groups of individuals of varying ages and physical abilities. Provides a basic understanding of the effects of cardiorespiratory exercises on the body and the general scientific principles relative to improving cardiorespiratory fitness. Prepares students to assess joint range of motion and provide specific recommendations for flexibility routines designed to increase joint range of motion and improve the comfort of a client participating in physical activity programs.
