Catalog description

Focuses on the teaching of literacy in academic and public or civic spaces. Also focuses on frameworks and practices for teaching literacy in connection to issues of equity and access in and beyond classrooms. Students engage with multiliteracies and explore approaches to teaching civically engaged reading and writing in various educational contexts.
