Guides students to explore, understand and appreciate the works of William Shakespeare. Students become familiar and comfortable with the historical background and literary and social contexts of the selected works. Progresses through a methodical study of selected plays and sonnets from understanding plots, characters, and themes to analyzing and discovering the psychological, cultural and social forces that influenced the author and informed his works.
