Catalog description

Trains future environmental engineers and professionals in fundamental hazardous waste and materials concepts. Addresses regulatory requirements; materials hazard communication; material safety concepts; types of hazardous waste/materials (chemical, radioactive, and infectious); risk assessment and routes of exposure; personal protective equipment; prudent practices; treatment; storage and disposal of hazardous waste/materials through the lens of the cradle-to-grave concept. Gains knowledge about the hazardous waste enforcement processes.
