Catalog description

Gives students the language and tools to understand and analyze macroeconomic phenomena in the domestic and global economy. Emphasizes the careful interpretation of macroeconomic data. Introduces models to understand how events affect macroeconomic outcomes, such as income, inflation and wages. Also studies the trade-offs in government interventions to stabilize the economy during recessions. Provides the tools to produce analyses of how current events can be expected to affect macroeconomic outcomes.
