Catalog description

Culminating course represents the comprehensive integration and realization of advanced expertise gained in previous coursework. Students undertake ambitious independent projects that demonstrate mastery in designing and implementing immersive experiences with potential for global impact. These projects integrate multiple technologies, methodologies and theoretical frameworks while showcasing professional-level execution in either virtual environments, physical installations or hybrid experiences. Through intensive project development, students create comprehensive works from concept to full realization. Work may include large-scale media installations, complex XR applications, responsive environments or other forms of immersive experiences that demonstrate technical excellence, design innovation and meaningful cultural and social impact. Expects students to defend their conceptual frameworks, technical choices and implementation strategies while documenting their development process.
