Catalog description

Introduces students to the core competencies of nursing education, including adult learning theory, principles of course and curriculum alignment, and foundational strategies in teaching, assessment and feedback. Examines the roles and responsibilities of nurse educators across diverse academic and clinical settings. Practicum activities include observation and reflection in varied education settings, curriculum mapping exercises and shadowing experienced educators.
