Catalog description

Explores theories of learning, thought development, and knowledge construction through aesthetic movement experiences. Students look to theories from the fields of aesthetics, phenomenology (study of lived experiences), somatics (study of the soma or body/mind), sociology and epistemology (theory of knowledge) to understand how the intertwined relationship of human thought development and movement patterning can affect children's learning and development.
