Catalog description

Advanced movement course designed to bring an interdisciplinary approach toward performance, competitive and social partner movement that incorporates multiple contextual and Latin dance style perspectives to inform and critique one's own dance understandings. Latin social movement forms include NY Mambo, cha cha and bachata. Elements and concepts investigated with partner work include the following: working with the body, kinesthetic movement properties, connection, musicality and rhythm.
