Somatic Movement Applications: A Closer Look

Catalog description

Co-taught laboratory that explores foundations of somatic education, including principles of dance science, bodywork practices, Bartenieff Fundamentals, and Body-Mind Centering. Emphasizes developing a holistic perception of ourselves, our relation to one another, and to the environment. Nonmajors are welcome and encouraged to enroll as this course benefits anyone interested in dance, theater, music, social engagement, architecture and design, education, and health and wellness, among other areas.
