Intermediate level of contemporary modern dance for nonmajor students. Emphasizes a range of movement styles, fusing contemporary and traditional forms. Special focus on somatic principles, body placement, strength and flexibility. Provides opportunities to explore the history and social significance of modern dance, as well as performance skills and choreography.
