Examines historical and contemporary perspectives shaping the organization and delivery of competitive and cooperative sport and recreation at the local, regional, national and international levels. Emphasizes exploration of barriers to sport and recreation among diverse sociocultural groups (age, disability, gender, race, etc.) and strategies to facilitate access and participation through a continuum of program delivery options including adapted sport and therapeutic recreation.
