Catalog description

Covers bio-inspired computing, discussing computational methods derived from biological processes and models. Covers computational algorithms, models and applications inspired by three primary areas of biology: evolution, immunology and social insects. Discusses other recent applications of biology in computing, including metabolic scaling theory, molecular computation, epidemiology and collective computation. Expects no prior knowledge of biology. Expects basic knowledge of computer science and programming competence.
