Examines the meaning of the concept of juvenile delinquency as a separate entity in the criminal justice system. Considers the relationship between social attitudes and definitions of youthful law violation, and reviews studies on various forms of delinquency, such as drug offenses, sex delinquency, and status offenders. Also focuses on the internal workings of the juvenile justice system.
