Historical and legal approaches to disability advocacy helps frame students' interrogation of contemporary disability advocacy issues and movements. Addresses disability advocacy issues including questions about the meaning of disability, the ends and forms of advocacy and the politics of dis/ability. Emphasizes the communication practices that have constructed and debated the meanings, ethics and ends of disability advocacy.
