Critical rhetorical study of local communities and advocacy, including fieldwork guided by rhetorical theory; the intersection of media, rhetoric and advocacy; and reflexivity in rhetorical fieldwork. Examines rhetoric in the context of community advocacy and through participant observation within social controversies.
