Catalog description

Explores the role of communication in face-to-face and online mentoring relationships with an emphasis on message shaping, nonverbal communication, professionalism and audience analysis. Applies practice and theory from a variety of lower-division communication courses (public speaking, professional and business, small group, intercultural and interpersonal) to prepare students for mentoring roles in CommLabASU on ASU's West campus. During the semester, students (individually and as a member of a group) engage in creating and delivering both online and in-person public speaking tutorials.
