Introduces the fundamental principles of thermodynamics with an emphasis on their application in civil engineering. Covers how energy principles influence design and analysis in fields such as building efficiency systems, sustainable construction, geothermal energy and environmental control systems. Combines theoretical lectures, case studies and hands-on projects to prepare students to integrate thermodynamic analyses into civil engineering solutions.
