Focuses on the application of clinical modalities and counseling theories specifically tailored to the needs of sexual minority populations. Explores ways mental health professionals counsel sexual minorities to enhance coping with stressors and in affirming their sexual identities. Students explore the psychological and sociocultural dimensions of sexual orientation with a focus on ethical considerations, community engagement, advocacy and the unique challenges faced by sexual minority populations and their loved ones.
