Catalog description

An advanced overview of the study of evolution, the conceptual core of biology. Explores topics such as the origins and history of life; the interplay of heredity and environment, mutation and selection in shaping organisms; molecular, genomic and computational technologies for studying evolution; and the application of evolutionary thinking to modern problems in biomedical, agricultural and other contexts. Emphasizes critical evaluation of previous and ongoing scientific experiments that underlie current knowledge.
