Catalog description

Collecting natural history specimens fuels our understanding of biodiversity, its evolutionary history and ecological changes over time. How do scientists manage the specimen-based data that drive this knowledge? In this research-active course, students gain critical skills in documenting and analyzing biodiversity data, from field collection to digital publication. Topics include modern methods for collecting, processing, digitizing and publishing biodiversity data, emphasizing open, standardized information environments.
