Catalog description

Teaches how to do Bayesian data analysis using MCMC methods. Includes practical application with specific problems; also covers a range of historical and theoretical topics including probability theory, the history of Bayesian data analysis and frequentist alternatives, Markov chains and causality. Introduces students to executing Bayesian analysis via MCMC methods and also helps them see how these methods work and why they had to wait until the late 20th century to become widespread.
