Catalog description

Introduces ideas and concepts in photography using digital montage and image manipulation as an expressive medium. During this lecture/lab course, students work on both assignments and self-defined projects. Discussions include technological theory and the impact of digital imaging on the field of photography in the fine arts and professional arenas. Students review retouching, coloration, enhancement and strategies for digital montaging. Covers the basic principles of pattern design.
