Focuses on the social justice implications of food and agriculture systems in the United States. Uses them as a lens to understand broader systems of social inequality, and uses larger lenses of social inequality to better understand food and agriculture. Also focuses on the food and agricultural practices and the histories and contributions of politically marginalized groups with an emphasis on racial minorities. Covers the impact of industrial agriculture on those same populations.
