Catalog description

Covers the design considerations, workflows, tools and production processes specific to live event systems that rely heavily on networks. Covers audio and video routing techniques, playback and sequencing. Evaluates and discusses the foundations of networks and networking. Also explores signal types, protocols, codecs and connectors. Develops and realizes small systems integrating pre-recorded sound and video. Students design, plan and realize complex audiovisual systems for common applications such as concerts, interactive museum installations, public multimedia presentations and virtual production. Acquaints students with equipment resources available for live events at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.
