Catalog description

Focuses on creation of media of all kinds using computation. Using algorithms it is possible to create complex media that is difficult or impossible by traditional methods. Some techniques can capture the unpredictable evolutionary and emergent behavior found in nature. Investigates influential algorithmic methods including stochastic processes and Markov chains, Perlin noise, cellular automata, fractals, L-systems and genetic algorithms.
