Catalog description

Focuses on computational and humanistic underpinnings for describing human activities for interactive systems. Obtains a holistic understanding of both the computational models, as well as somatic approaches, and enables their translation into meaningful interactive systems for a variety of applications. Project-driven course encourages students to work individually and collaboratively to generate movement to interface with appropriate sensing, analysis and feedback systems with applications in health and well being, creative practices and games. Transdisciplinary course; therefore, expectations for skills and outcomes are multiple and varied, with students expected to work with students and ideas from other disciplines.
