Catalog description

Challenges students to move beyond prototype development and into the business and organizational realities of launching a game and a studio. Building on prior production courses, students engage in business planning, market analysis, branding and marketing strategies, and monetization models, while continuing to refine their games for release. Teams adopt formalized company-like structures, assigning roles and responsibilities (producers, creative directors, technical leads, marketing managers, community managers) to simulate a professional studio. Drawing on contemporary industry practice, students experience how creative, technical and entrepreneurial skills must converge to bring a game to market.
