Catalog description
Advances student teams from prototyping into full production, iteration and delivery of a playable game project. Students refine mechanics, build content and address issues of user experience, accessibility and technical stability. Emphasizes quality assurance, milestone tracking and the 'polish' phase of production, preparing students to present their work to external stakeholders such as peers, faculty and industry partners. Mirrors professional studio practices, with students assigned distinct production roles (e.g., producer, designer, artist, programmer, quality assurance) to simulate the dynamics of a functioning game studio. By the end of the semester, students deliver a complete playable build accompanied by professional documentation and a postmortem analysis.
