Develops an understanding of the theory, concepts, principles, and practices underlying managerial accounting. Emphasizes three functions managers must perform within their organizations: plan operations, control activities, and make decisions. Explains what accounting information is necessary, how to collect it, and how to interpret it. Meant for prospective accounting and finance majors and students who plan current majors in these areas and develop skills and abilities facilitating success in higher-level accounting courses.
