Catalog description

This course explores the topic of chem-sex in the cisgender gay male community. The purpose is for students to develop an understanding of the prevalence of chem-sex among cisgender gay men and the ways in which it manifests for those impacted. Students will review existing literature on chem-sex, which focuses primarily on cisgender gay men. The biopsychosocial and recovery models are used to conceptualize and guide assessment and treatment practices with cisgender gay men involved in or at risk of engaging in chem-sex.
