Catalog description

This course explores advanced clinical practice in the context of organizational and systems-based approaches, with students focusing on a self-selected area of interest that targets a specific population or community. Emphasis is placed on the development of innovative care delivery models grounded in contemporary, evidence-based science that are responsive to current organizational, political, cultural, and economic realities. Students will examine strategies to design and implement interventions that advance health equity and promote social justice in diverse populations. Special emphasis is given to interprofessional collaboration for addressing emerging practice problems, health disparities, and complex ethical dilemmas. Learners will develop the skills to lead systemic change, improve care delivery, and create sustainable solutions that foster equitable and person-centered outcomes across communities.
