Catalog description

This course examines the integration of translational science, implementation science, and information science (informatics) as frameworks for advancing health equity and reducing health disparities. Students will explore how knowledge is generated, translated, and applied in real-world healthcare settings to improve outcomes for marginalized populations. Emphasis is placed on the application of data-driven decision-making, evidence-to-practice pipelines, and the strategic use of informatics to design, implement, and evaluate interventions. Case studies and projects will highlight the role of healthcare leaders in leveraging these sciences to address social determinants of health, dismantle systemic barriers, and promote equitable, person-centered care.
