Advanced Physiology and Pathophysiology for the Health Professional

Catalog description

In this course students are oriented to disease as disordered physiology within integrated biological systems. The course provides a foundation of pathophysiology for assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and clinical decision-making in the management of common acute, episodic, chronic, and heritable/genetic conditions. The approach emphasizes attainment and maintenance of full health potential as a goal of health equity. Social determinants of health and cultural considerations are woven throughout this course.
